In 1988 the bibliographical studio Bazzani Stampe Antiche was born
from our passion for ancient prints and books. Our first small but
furnished shop in Verona was opened in 1995, near Arche Scaligere;
through it Bazzani Stampe Antiche began to meet a wider range of
customers. Owing to this successful experience, after a few years we
moved to the near via Ponte Nuovo, where a more comfortable and wider
room was organized. In this period a steady activity of research and
study continued, to achieve a higher and higher quality, also visible on
our web-site, started in 2002, and also from our first published
catalogues about two collections: one of works engraved by artists from
Verona, and one about wine and gastronomy prints.
Just to
continue this ideal growth, in January 2005 Bazzani Stampe Antiche moved
to the new shop in via Stella, placed inside an elegant and
distinguished palace of the XVI century, in the center of the old city,
close to the lively Piazza Erbe.
Inside this prestigious environment,
restored just to house our shop and according to its requirements,
Bazzani Stampe Antiche has a room aside, as usual, to sell prints and
ancient and precious books and another wide one to expose its
collections; the exposures are accompanied by catalogues on sale at the
shop, prepared as real publications to be kept by lovers and
connoisseurs; they will become a periodic appointment for so many
connoisseurs and the opportunity to draw more and more people near this
enchanting art.
Moreover Bazzani Stampe Antiche publishes two
catalogues of ancient and precious books every year, with a special care
for the technical records; they are available at the shop or they are
sent to people fond of this art and that gave us their address.
